Frequently Asked Questions

is a bridal trial required?

Bridal trials aren’t required, but we highly recommend them. They give us the time to create your perfect look while discussing your vision in detail. During your trial, you’ll receive a full makeup application and/or hairstyle, allowing you to truly see and feel how stunning you’ll look on your wedding day.

how far in advance should makeup and hair be booked?

We book weddings anywhere from 6 to 18 months in advance, with the 12-month mark being the ideal time to secure your beauty team. All dates are subject to availability and are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

why should I hire a professional makeup or hair artist?

Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist for your wedding day is essential. Professionals ensure your look lasts all day and photographs flawlessly, while making sure you feel confident and radiant. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life — let us take care of your beauty so you can relax and enjoy every moment.

To reserve your artist for your wedding day, a non-refundable 25% retainer along with a signed contract is required. Once both are received, your artist is officially secured and your date is locked in.

what is required to secure services for the wedding?

Makeup:
For the best results, please arrive with a clean, moisturized face. Sheet masks the night before are a great way to hydrate and plump your skin. If you plan to wax or thread your brows or upper lip, do so a few days before your wedding. About a month prior, avoid facials or extractions and stick to the skincare products you know work for you — now is not the time to try anything new.

Hair:
Clean, dry hair is preferred unless otherwise instructed during your trial. Day-old hair is often ideal, especially for styles worn down. Please avoid using products with heavy silicone prior to your appointment.

how should I prep makeup/hair for the wedding?

We typically work in a bright space with plenty of natural light, so a large table is ideal. For hair, a lower chair works best, while a higher chair or bar stool is perfect for makeup. If you have a large mirror available, that’s an added bonus for styling hair!

what does the artist need on the wedding day?

Once your contract is signed, the services and rates listed are confirmed. While we’re unable to reduce the services, additional services can be added if artists are available. It’s important to be certain about the services you need when booking. If a guest is unable to attend, we kindly recommend finding a replacement to fill their spot.

can I remove people from the contract if my bridal party changes?
